PIKE COUNTY, Ky. -- Heavy rain has caused minor flooding across parts of the region. To most people it is an unusual sight, but for employees at Elk Run Golf Course in PikeCounty it is not the first time they have seen a river where the course should be."Two years ago on Mothers' Day we would be standing in about three feet of water right here," said General Manager Bryan Johnson, adding that it was disheartening. He says right now more than half of the course is completely underwater costing them thousands of dollars in damage. They just hope the water recedes quickly, so cleanup can begin. Golf course employees say they do not know how long the course will be closed for cleanup, but they say they usually get up and running within a few days
